Abstract(in English) R/W IC is a Front/End IC to directly give/receive the data to/from head device in Hard Disk Drive system. In this area, it becomes important to achieve both the high data transfer rate and the high reliability of MR head on cross talk or ESD. This paper describes the R/W IC that is satisfied with both 1.6Gbps data transfer rate and high reliability with current biased/current sensed READER and symmetry differential output and GND common level WRITER circuits.
