Abstract(in English) The purpose of this research is to investigate techniques of generating a realistic 3D soap bubble model aiming to apply to a holographic image. Hologram is a technology that records 3D images by using laser light. As technologies have been evolving, it has become possible to record various images as holograms, for example, momentary scenes and synthetic images. On the other hand, soap bubbles in natural environment are very attractive subjects for hologram because of their features, continuous transformation, complex interference colors and reflection. It is, however, still impossible to shoot real soap bubbles directly for making a hologram. Hence, we aim to make a hologram from the realistic 3D soap bubble models, which are based on physical models or videos. However, the former is too complex because of the large amount of factors to be considered. Thus, we try to build a model from images. As a first stage, we investigate the technique of extraction of the soap bubble in a real scene. In this paper, we present a way of extracting soap bubble by using g-snakes (Generalized Active Contour Models).
