| 抄録(和) | 本研究では.入力画像を5/3ロスレスウェーブレット変換(5/3-LWT)で変換した後.量子化を行い.復号側で再生する時に.再生誤差を小さくすることを目的とする.5/3-LWTの変換係数と5/3ウェーブレット変換(5/3-WT)の変換係数との差分信号の平均値を理論的に求め.5/3-LWT内の整数化処理に含まれる定数の値により.その平均値が様々な値になることが示される.そして.符号化側で5/3-LWT.復号側で逆5/3-WTを用いる場合において.その定数に応じた平均値補正を行う再生方式を提案する.実際の画像に対してロッシー再生時の圧縮性能を求め.復号側が逆5/3-WTの場合.5/3-LWT内の整数化処理に含まれる定数に対して適切な値を選択するか.平均値補正を行わなければいけないことが示される.また.ニアロスレスビットレート付近を除いては.復号側で逆5/3-WTを用いる方が逆5/3-LWTを用いるよりも圧縮効率が高くなることが示される.さらに.量子化代表値の改良.非繰り返し型5/3-LWTの導入により再生誤差を大きく低減できることを示す. |
| 抄録(英) | In this paper, our purpose is to decrease the reconstruction errors in the lossy reconstruction for the 5/3 lossless wavelet transform (5/3-LWT). The mean value of the difference signal between the sub-band signal of the 5/3-LWT and that of the 5/3 wavelet transform (5/3-WT) is theoretically derived. It is shown that the mean value depends on the constants in the rounding in the 5/3-LWT. Therefore we propose a reconstruction method using correction of the mean value, when the 5/3-LWT and the inverse 5/3-WT are used in the coder and decoder, respectively. We calculate lossy compression efficiency for images and obtain the following results. When we use the inverse 5/3-WT in the decoder, we must either choose the right values for the constants in the rounding in the 5/3-LWT, or do correction of the mean value. The system using the inverse 5/3-WT has higher compression efficiency than that using the inverse 5/3-LWT, except at near-lossless bit-rates. Moreover, we show that the reconstruction errors become very small by using an improved inverse quantizer and a non-repeatable 5/3-LWT. |
