Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Some physical quantities for textures in paintings have been investigated. And it is shown that there is some relationship between impressions for textures and those of physical quantities. From each texture sampled from paintings, a two dimensional frequency intensity distribution is calculated, and 3 physical feature quantities D, V, P are measured. Here, D is the distance between center of gravity (cog) of frequency intensity distribution and its origin. V is the variance of frequency intensity distribution around the cog, and P is the proportion of the first principal component on the 2 dimensional frequency intensity distribution space. And we got the following views and explained the reasons. -As the pattern on the texture is flatter, the value D of the texture is larger. -There is a considerably clear positive correlation between D and V. - The existence of the correlation between P and V is not clear.
