A Determination Method of High Efficiency Antenna Weight for Mobile Handsets Using Random Outer Test Source(ROTS)

Abstract(in English) The method of distributed feed for mobile handsets having array antenna was proposed in order to improve radiation efficiency. It is very important to determine antenna weights for higher radiation efficiency. We have proposed and evaluated the determination method of high efficiency antenna weight by using Random Inner Test Source(RITS). In this paper, we propose a new determination method of that by using Random Outer Test Source(ROTS) for many uses. The test signal from random wave source, which is arranged at far field point, is employed for determination of weights. We describe the theory of this proposal method and evaluate the validity by simulation comparing to the RITS method.
