A Consideration on a Dual-polarized Microstrip Antenna

Abstract(in English) Dual-polarized planar antennas are used as an efficient radiator in the field of satellite communication and remote sensing. Dual-polarized and Dual-frequency planar antenna (DP-DF-MSA) is presented in this paper. In order to achieve excellent isolation characteristics of the antenna, the DP-DF-MSA fed by dog-bone slots is developed and tested here. Moreover, the slot-loaded MSA is used as a radiator to achieve the dual-band characteristics. Various experiment were carried out in the C-band to estimate the performance of the antenna. The computed results obtained from IE3D simulator agreed well with the experimental results. This new type of planar antenna, therefore, is considered to be an effective model for a Dual-polarized and Dual frequency planar antenna.
