Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A circularly polarized proximity-fed microstrip antenna (CP-PMA) is presented, and its performance is evaluated in this report. The CP-PMA consists of a truncated-corners square patch coupled in close proximity to a microstrip line. Firstly, fundamental characteristics of the single-element CP-PMA are investigated by FDTD analysis and experiments at 5GHz band. From the obtained results, it is verified that the sense of the polarization can be switched by adjusting the length of the feedline beyond the patch edge. Secondly, 2-element CP-PMA array is designed, and its performance is presented.
