| Abstract(in English) | Digitization is the main keyword for CATV operators in Japan. Commencement of terrestrial digital broadcasting services and an advent of digital content distributor using fiber optic cable, ADSL network cause CATV operators to provide digital broadcasting services in order to keep competitiveness. However, capital expenditure and an investment for digital operation systems are big concern between CATV operators. JC-HITS, digital content distribution services for CATV operators using satellite communications network, provides solutions that enable CATV operators to provide digital broadcasting services at low cost. |
