Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In the satellite communications, it is well known that the employment of multi-level QAM causes the fatal degradation of signal quality due to the non-linear amplifiers located at the earth station and satellite. From this reason, the multi-level QAM method is up to today considered as the unsuitable modulation method in the satellite channel, although it has a potential capability to provide the higher transmission data rate. This paper proposes the multi-level QAM-OFDM technique with IDAR method, which can mitigate the no-linear distortion and provides the higher transmission data rate in the satellite channel. This paper presents various computer simulation results to verify the proposed method in the non-linear satellite channel.
