Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) MIMO enable the application of spatial multiplexing as a way of increasing transmission rate. If the transmitter knows the channel status information (CSI), the channel capacity can be maximized by employing the Eigenbeam-Space Division Multiplexing (E-SDM) scheme. In this method, there is a problem that a transmitter needs to get feedback from a receiver to obtain the array weight vector for transmission. Moreover, the calculation load proportionally increases according to the number of sub-carriers. This paper proposes a new downlink beamforming method that uses the common transmission weight vector derived for upllink CSI and employs the transmission diversity. We clarify the effectiveness of the proposed beamforming method by a computer simulation when the CSI error arises.
