Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) When the adaptive array antenna is applied with a mobile terminal, it is necessary to use multiple antennas. Therefore the mobile terminal becomes smaller, the space to install antennas becomes narrower. And the performance of an adaptive antenna array is strongly affected by the electromagnetic of an antenna array. An important electromagnetic characteristic of an antenna array is the mutual coupling between its elements. It should be omnidirectional pattern that the directivity of the antenna element used for adaptive array antenna of the mobile terminal. But actually, the antenna has the directivity, which is also changed by the influence of a case. In this paper, we study adaptive array antenna for handset in consideration of a case and element configuration that is consisted of dipole, monopole and PIFA (Planar Inverted-F Antenna) by using the electromagnetic simulator based on Method of Moment.
