Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper presents a fading emulator for evaluating antennas of mobile terminals in the multipath fading with cross polarization power ratio (XPR). The emulator consists of seven sets of two sources radiating vertically and horizontally polarized waves, which are located at even intervals on a circumference of a circle of 0.9-meter radius. The emulator provides the multipath fading with XPR by making a difference between average radiating power of the vertically and horizontally polarized waves. Experiments at 2.14GHz were conducted in an anechoic chamber. It is found from the experiment using an omni-directional antenna as the receiving antenna that Rayleigh distribution is obtained in a circle with the radius of 0.45-meter radius in both vertically and horizontally polarized waves. Finally, the effectiveness of the emulator is conformed by an experiment of a diversity antenna for mobile terminals near to a head of an operator, which is composed of a monopole antenna and a planer inverted F antenna.
