Optimization design for suppressing spurious reflected wave from offset reflectarray

Abstract(in English) This paper proposes an optimization-design method of an offset microstrip reflectarray, which directly evaluates the radiation pattern from a reflectarray, in order to suppress spurious reflected wave and gain loss in a specified frequency range. In this method, the element lengths of microstrips that control the radiation pattern can be determined by optimization technique. As an example, we have designed the reflectarray suppressing spurious reflected wave less than -20dB at 9.5GHz-10.5GHz. And by comparing the optimized reflectarray with conventional one, it is verified that the optimized reflectarray can realize low gain loss and also suppress spupurious reflected wave at the specified frequency range.
