Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We propose a new design concept of a simple Beam Forming Network (BFN) using microstrip lenses that enables application of a linear-array to the array feed by applying a new design to the microstrip lenses. The new BFN design achieves various arrangements of the phase-center positions of the feed excitations without changing the arrangement of the array feed by taking advantage of the lens aberrations. The new BFN design simplifies the feed structure and improves the antenna characteristics because the arrangement of the phase-center positions can be adjusted according to the focal plane of the reflector even when using a linear-array feed.
