Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In DS/CDMA communication systems with receive antennas, adaptive sample matrix inversion (SMI) implementations of the joint space-time MMSE filters are known to require inverse matrix calculation with the matrix size equal to the product of the spreading code length and the number of antenna elements, and the processing cost might be impractical. The number of data samples of several times of the product is also necessary to get the stable correlation matrix, and the filters might not be possible to track a fading above a certain prescribed rate. In this paper in order to combat these problems, several sub-optimal disjoint space-time MMSE filter schemes are proposed for the quasi-synchronous DS/CDMA systems. Some computer simulations are conducted to know the performance degradation from the optimal joint space-time MMSE filters, and the results are shown in terms of BER characteristics.
