MUSIC method for the antenna that measure the angle of wave incidence by scanning beam

Abstract(in English) The MUSIC (Multiple Signal Classification) Algorithm [1] is used with DBF(Digital Beam Forming) array for the purpose of measuring the angles of incident waves which are close mutually. However, It was impossible to introduce directly MUSIC Algorithm [1] to the antenna that measures the angles of arrival by scanning beam. In this paper, we propose a MUSIC Algorithm on the scanning beam antenna so as to get the superresolution performance with such conventional antenna. In this place, we suppose the radar transmitting signals are modulated by FMCW(Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave) technique. We also confirm 1/5 of beam width resolution by the proposed method by using Monte Carlo simulation.
