Impact of Decoding Error in Control Channel on IP packet transmission Performance in Forward Link for VSF-OFCDM Broadband Wireless Access

Abstract(in English) This paper experimentally investigated the influence of the decoding errors of associated Control Channel (CCH) on the throughput and delay performances of IP packet transmission employing hybrid ARQ with soft combining in MAC (Medium Access Control) layer for VSF (Variable Spreading Factor)-OFCDM (Orthogonal Frequency and Code Division Multiplexing) forward link wireless access. The experimental results elucidated that the block error rate (BLER) of the CCH in the forward link should be less than the required packet loss rate of each traffic data and that in the reverse link must be less than 102 for RT (Real Time) traffic data with strict delay requirement. Furthermore, it was also clarified that BLER of the CCH in the forward and reverse links should be less than 102 for NRT (Non-Real Time) traffic data with lax delay requirement.
