Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper proposes an OFDM mobile packet transmission scheme that employs both non-linear multiuser detection (MUD) and Metric Combining ARQ for improving throughput performances. The scheme identifies transmission users by detecting user ID symbols located at the head of a packet, and extracts each packet from received signals by MUD when a packet collision occurs. Furthermore, it forces the users to retransmit the same packets and to reproduce the collision if CRC detects some errors, and employs the metric combining for decreasing the number of re-transmissions. In order to verify the throughput performance, a computer simulation is conducted. The simulation results show that the proposed scheme can achieve twice the throughput as much as those of the conventional ones, and more.
