Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A bandwidth assignment method for the next-generation mobile satellite communication system which use frequency reuse in a multi-beam system was proposed so far, and we showed that it is possible to increase system capacity by assigning bandwidth discretely. In this report, a resource assignment method in which not only bandwidth but also transmitted power of each beam are flexibly assigned is proposed in order to increase system capacity. One of the features of this resource assignment method is to take both bandwidth segments and transmitted power of each beam as the optimizing parameters.. In case studies, the system capacities were quantitatively compared with that of the fixed resource assignment. As the result, it was shown that system capacity was increased as much as 4.2 times compared with the fixed resource assignment.
