Abstract(in English) | To realize an OFCDMA (Orthogonal frequency and code division multiple access) packet reverse link system as a future packet mobile communication, this paper proposes a reception method that conducts an accurate channel estimation and that cancels both inter carrier interference (ICI) and inter symbol interference (ISI) among users at the base station. In the OFCDMA packet system, it is necessary to estimate an individual channel impulse response of each user, which degrades an accuracy of the channel estimation. In addition, when received timing deviations among the users excess the guard interval, ICI and ISI occur. The reception method estimates the timing deviations of all users, and its initial processing performs (i) a channel estimation with pilot signals by using the least mean squared method that minimizes the error between the received signals in the time domain and its replica, (ii) a weight combining based on the MMSE criterion, and the MAP decoding. If some packet errors are detected at the initial processing, the method carries out an iterative processing to conduct the decision directed channel estimation and the turbo interference cancellation, which can improve the accuracy of the channel estimation and can effectively reduce both ICI and ISI among the users by the log likelihood ratio (LLR) fed back from the MAP decoder. Computer simulations demonstrate that our proposed receiver can achieve excellent performances. |
