Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Generally, since the correlations of communication channel characteristics decrease rapidly when the transmission and receiving positions are different, it is nearly impossible for the intercepter receiving signals in the other position to estimate the characteristics. Moreover, as it is well-known that when a reversible propagation of radio waves is available between a transmitter and a receiver. This can provide a secret key agreement method without key administration and key delivery processes by using the fluctuation characteristics of channels. In this paper, we propose a new secret key generation and agreement method that uses the fluctuation of channel characteristics with an Espar (Electronically Steerable Parasitic Array Radiator) antenna. By using the beam-forming technique of an Espar antenna, we can acquire the undulated RSSI (Received Signal Strength Indicator) profile in a short time and generate/update a secret key easily. |
