Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In forward link of a DS-CDMA system, transmit signals show increase of the peak to average power ratio(PAPR) as the number of multiplexed signal increases. When such a high PAPR signal is applied to a power amplifier, the output signal is distorted and interfere in adjacent frequency channels, or power efficiency decreases. To reduce PAPR, we propose a method where unused channelization codes are multiplied by a spectrum spreading code, band-limited, and added to the transmit signal. This method showed PAPR reduction as effective as a conventional method without deteriorating orthogonality of the multiplexed signals.
