Abstract(in English)	Constructions of HIT Network by using satellite links and wireless LAN for the terminal section with low-cost Internet connection for rural areas are discussed. By using satellite links and wireless LAN, running cost, e. g., initial costs, maintenance and supervisory costs can be decreased and flexible links can be achieved. In this network, the satellite diversity (Sat. D) system is utilized to improve link availabilities. The Sat. D characteristics were measured by newly constructed measuring system.
