Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In order to develop highly sensitive electrical sampling systems, ultrashort pulses with widths of several picoseconds or less and with rather large amplitude, whose repetition rate is relatively low, must be prescribed as the sampling trigger. Proper control of picosecond pulses also enables high-repetition-rate UWB systems or electromagnetic imaging systems with fine resolution. However, it seems rather difficult to handle ultrashort electrical pulses by conventional transistorbased amplifiers. In this paper, we propose several new schemes for controlling amplitude and/or phase of picosecond-electrical pulses, which include data retiming, pulse amplification and voltage-controlled phase shifting.
