Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This report presents a novel scheme of multiple input multiple output (MIMO) system having robustness to the eigenvector mismatch problem which is often met in the application of MIMO in mobile communications. First, to avoid the uncertainness of eigenvectors under eigenvalue degeneration, we give a procedure to derive a unique weight common in both the transmitter and the receiver side. Then through computer simulations, it is shown that the proposed method achives high SINR without loss of orthogonality of weights not only when two maximum engenvalue coincide but also in the case of the eigenvector exhange caused by the estimation error of channel matrix. Hence, it enables us to utilize plural paths in MIMO channel, which is impossible by using the maximum ratio combining (MRC) weights derived from the received signal.
