Theoretical Analysis of Bit Error Rate Performance for Trellis-Coded M-PSK Modulation with Reference Carrier Phase Offset

Abstract(in English) So far many researches have made R&D on the trellis coded PSK modulation. In case recovered carrier has phase offset, it causes bit error rate (BER) degradation. Fujino, et al and Hagenaur, et al have already analyzed this problem. But their analyses are not so accurate or consumes a lot of time in calculation by computer. In this paper, we propose an analysis method which is more accurate and consumes less time in calculation by computer. In addition, we discuss the validity of analysis by computer simulation.
