| Abstract(in English) | Satellite digital broadcasting services for mobile users is planned to be launched in early 2004 in Japan. This service consists of a large number of various multimedia broadcasting programs such as high quality digital audio programs and video programs and is able to be received with vehicular and small portable receivers in mobile environment. In order to realize this service, a geostationary satellite and terrestrial repeaters as well as CDM and high compression technology are used. |
