Abstract(in English) The 53rd IAC (International Astronautical Congress) was held on the October 10-19, 2002 in Houston, Texas, the U.S.A. The IAC is an international conference which IAF (International Astronautical Federation:international space navigation league) is holding every year in collaboration with IAA (International Academy of Astronautics:international space navigation academy) and IISL (International Institute of Space Law:international space law meeting). The IAC this year was held as World Space Congress (WSC) 2002. The WSC is the greatest meeting that it will be held every 10 years in cooperation with IAC and COSPAR (Committee on Space Research), and industry, academia and government in connection with space-related engineering, natural science, and social science, and all the persons concerned meet together. The system and technical trend relevant to satellite communication on which presentations was given by this meeting are reported.
