The conflict detection method using downlinked airborne parameters

Abstract(in English) The conflict detection method is discussed, which uses DAPs (Downlink Airborne Parameters) such as magnetic heading, speed, roll angle of aircraft. The linear prediction method and the turn detection method with DAPs were compared from the point of view of unnecessary alert and detection delay. The linear prediction method uses aircraft position measured by SSR (Secondary Surveillance Radar). The turn detection method uses roll angle, speed and selected heading in addition to the aircraft position. The simulation shows that the duration time of unnecessary alert and the detection delay of the turn detection method is shorter than that of the linear prediction method, when one aircraft changes its heading.
