Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) TEEE802.11b and IEEE802.11g systems which employ DSSS (Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum) and OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) respectively, are provided in 2.4 GHz band. In this scenario, mutual interference could occur for both systems. In order for IEEE802.11g to eliminate the interference from IEEE802.11b, this paper proposes a null steering method for OEDM adaptive array antenna. In the proposed method, virtual sub-carrier outputs which do not transmit data are forced to be zero for the weight calculation. The nulls of the array antenna can be steered to the interfering signals, so they can be suppressed. The performance of the proposed method in a shared IEEE802.11b/g environment is compared with that of a beam steering method by computer simulation. From the results, it is found that the proposed null steering method can achieve better performance than the beam steering method for the cases with a lot of arriving signals.
