Abstract(in English) In orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM), unitary space-time modulated OFDM system has been proposed for obtaining the space and time diversity gains. A unitary space-time signal is a matrix, whose rows are transmitted from multiple antenna elements and mutually orthogonal to each other. Such constellations have been shown to perform well, so USTM/OFDM can achieve high capacity and high data rate. From the information theoretical perspective, it is necessary to apply error correction coding to further approach the channel capacity limit. Recently, low density-parity check (LDPC) code has attracted considerable attention as an error correction code, since the LDPC code can achieve the BER performance that is close to the Shannon limit with large parity check matrix. However, the performance of USTM/OFDM with LDPC code has not been analyzed. In this paper, we evaluate the performance of the proposed LDPC coded USTM/OFDM in broadband mobile channel. Since the proposed system assigns the data in frequency domain, the performance of our proposed system obtainsfrequency diversity in LDPC decoding. By using the computer simulation, we clarify the performance of the LDPC coded LTSTM/OFDM. As a result, we show the BER performance of the proposed system can be improved due to the space-time diversity and coding gain.
