Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The paper proposes a new transmit diversity scheme with a closed-loop amplitude and phase control for OFDM/FDD systems. In the proposed scheme, the mobile station (MS) has plural antennas and measures the sub-carrier power after space-combining at each branch. Moreover, the MS generates the weighting factor based on the branch with the strongest sub-carrier power and the Feed Back Information (FBI) which represents the weighting factor is transmitted to the base station (BS) by the uplink signal transmission. By means of the theoretical analysis and the computer simulations, the BER performance of the proposed scheme is evaluated, comparing with that of the open-loop STTD.
