Near Beam forming Algortighm for Eigen Vector Beam Forming

Abstract(in English) Eigen vector beam forming method using the eigen vectors of correlation matrix is recently researched as the DBF algorithm for multi-beam toward the incident directions of entries. The multiple beams formed by this method are mutually orthogonal. So, the each beam is not interfered by the other. However, the beams of near directions cannot be formed, because the steering vectors for the near directions are not orthogonal. In this paper, the algorithm which estimates the steering vectors of the entries from the eigen vectors are proposed by using the estimated powers of the entries. Simulation results show that the beams are effectively formed for the entries in the near directions.
