Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper presents a basic theory on 3-element Espar antennas from the viewpoint of reactance diversity. We proposed a simple diversity scheme that empeloys binary reactance control based on the criterion of received power comparison on 2-element Espar antennas with equivalent dipole antennas model. In comparison with 2-element Espar antennas, port impedances of 3-element Espar antennas will probably be kept a balance over a change of reactance values. The admittance matrix and the load reactance characterize the antenna performances such as weight vector, radiation diversity, and port impedance.Computer simulations show that the diversity gain of K)dB is expected at 99 percent cumulative probability in comparison with conventional omni-directional antennas.
