Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The electronic components of Electrical Power Subsystem(EPS) for the second Korea Multi-Purpose Satellite(KOMPSAT-2) have been developed by KAI and KARI. These components are Power Control Unit(PCU), Solar Array Regulator(SAR), Deployment Device Controller(DDC), EPS Control Unit(ECU) and DC Harness. During the development period of this satellite, The current capacity of DC/DC converter, the relay quantity and current capacity for the power distribution of Primary and Secondary Buses, shunt and fuse boards of PCU were modified, the power output capacity of SAR Buck converter board was increased from 450W to 800W and also the processor of ECU was upgraded from 80186 to 80386. However, DDC was not changed from that of KOMPSAT-1. This paper describes the function and characteristics on the EPS components koreanized during KOMPSAT-2 development period.
