Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The Power-line Communications (PLC) are very attractive for in-home networks. In order to achieve high-rate transmission, strong measures against the peculiar noise in power-lines are required. Turbo coding is one of candidates of the measures. The noise in power-lines is modeled as cyclostational zero mean Gaussian process. Since the noise in power-lines is modeled as the cyclostationary process, the accurate SNR estimation is required for turbo decoding. This paper indicates the effect of turbo codes against the power-lines noise. The BER performance of turbo decoding on PLC is evaluated. I show that the accurate SNR estimation is required to obtain the error correcting capability of turbo codes on PLC.
