Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have proposed a Genaral-purpose Mobile Satellite Communication System which is suitable for a common platform for many kinds of communication systems. This paper clarifies requirements for the satellite transponder which is suitable for the system and proposes an unique configuration of the satellite transponder. This configuration can achieve flexible frequency assignment of each beam in the service link (mobile stations~satellite) without deterioration of frequency efficiency in the feeder link (base station~satellite).
