Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose a M-ary time-hopping/code shift keying (M-ary TH/CSK) modulation for ultra-wideband (UWB) wireless communications. UWB transmission is a promising technology in the future highrate wireless personal area network (WPAN). Since very short pulse is used in UWB system, transmitting signal occupies extremely wide bandwidth. Inthe proposed M-ary TH/CSK system, an element of time-hopped sequence is used for choosing a transmitting code sequence among pre-assigned codes. A set of optical orthogonal code and its cyclic shift is used as a set of pre-assigned codes. Transmitter and receiver configurations of M-ary TH/CSK system are described. Preliminary result of error rate performance is also displayed under AWGN environment.
