Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In the SCSS project, a correction cavity will be used for beam bunching at an injector of a C-band accelerator. A C-band pulse klystron E3773 was developed as an RF source for the voltage correction cavity. We adopted PPM (Periodic Permanent Magnet) focusing to save energy and to be compact. In the evaluation test, the first tube generated the peak output power of 6.9 MW with efficiency of 42% at 1μs RF pulse width. The E3773 is more compact and lighter than a conventional S-band klystron with the same power level. Therefore, E3773 is very useful power source as the industrial applications. We will report the design and the test result of the E3773 in this paper.
