Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have been investigating the reduction mechanism of work function value in the ZrO/W(100) thermal field emitter. Existence of an electric dipole-moment at the cathode surface is widely believed to be critical for reducing work function. Lower work function of 2eV was archived by using Y-O instead of ZrO.
