Abstract(in English) | Lithium manganese spinel LiMn_2O_4 and layered LiNi_<0.5>Mn_<0.5>O_2 are one of the promising cathode materials of lithium secondary battery. These materials show the superior characteristics of the low cost and thermal stability. On the other hand, our investigation revealed that the lithium batteries using LiMn_O_2O_4 and LiNi_<0.5>Mn_<0.5>O_2 have the problem of the capacity fading during storage and cycles at elevated temperatures and the high-power performance respectively. In this paper, we summarize the recent study on the cathode material and report on our results for both LiMn_2O_4 and LiNi_<0.5>Mn_<0.5>O_2. |
