Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Videocassette recorders (VCRs) are currently being used in broadcasting corporations. However, there is a growing desire to replace these VCRs with optical disk systems that provide faster access. Optical disk systems are also more suitable for archiving. Broadcasting optical disk system would require not only high capacity but also high-transfer-rate. Previously we reported on a read/write experiment without write-strategy using multipulse at a data-rate of 100 Mb/s by using a red laser optical disk system. We study the possibility of a 200 Mb/s transfer-rate by using a blue-violet laser optical disk system without write-strategy using multipulse.
