Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The rapid developments of information technologies in recent years have been causing the rapid changes of environments for software executions. Also, mechanisms for dynamic cooperation among software components, like the Web service architecture, are becoming common. Therefore, an important problem today is how to adapt software components to the dynamic changes of their contexts. Given these situations, we have been developing a framework for efficient construction of data conversion programs for XML. One of the features of our approach is to use class diagrams expressing the meanings of the XML data to be converted. This paper proposes a method for extracting a class diagram from XML data. In particular, it explains how to write rule descriptions for the extraction process and how to use them.
