Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have proposed a concept of the Autonomous Disks for advanced load distribution and failure management within a storage cluster. In this paper, we propose a multimedia contents, server, as an application of the concept, which autonomously recovers failures and handles workload skews among disks storing multimedia contents for high availability and functionality. We enhance functions of the web server that we constructed using the Autonomous Disk cluster. We improve methods of insert, update, migration, and failure recovery with HTTP interface, and propose data structures for handling the multimedia contents.
