Abstract(in English) | The Biot-Stoll model have been used widely to analyze the acoustic wave propagation in marine sediment. To apply this model, it is necessary to use 13 physical parameters. In these parameters, the determination for the value of the frame bulk modulus have been under debate. In this study, the porosity and the grain size dependence of the longitudinal wave velocity, and the velocity dispersion are investigated. Next, the frame bulk moduli of glass beads and beach sands are obtained using the measured values of the longitudinal and the shear wave velocities. The measured values are compared with the conventional values, and the porosity and the grain size dependence of the moduli are investigated. |
