Abstract(in English) | Focusing property of time reversal waves (phase conjugate waves) in shallow water or deep sea has been discussed based on simulation of the normal mode method. In this study, the property of time reversal waves is verified through tank experiments and it is clarified that time reversal waves enable to converge waves to the focus and simulation results agree with the experimental results qualitatively. It is also investigated how the arrangement of TRA (Time Reversal Array) elements affects received signal at the focus. It turned out that the signal received at the focus is not destroyed even with TRA whose number of elements is reduced, that tilting of TRA during receiving and transmitting process degrades the convergence property while vertical fluctuation does not, and that even horizontal TRA can generate time reversal waves if it has enough length. |
