Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The development of coastal acoustic tomography is carried out as a long term measurement technique to get shallow water information. Since the sound is propagated with reflection at sea bed and sea surface, it is important to estimate the characteristics of the reflected wave. In this report, the fluctuation of the propagating sound wave was examined from the result of propagation experiment in shallow water. The amplitude and phase of received signal were plotted on the complex plane to clarify qualitative features. The amplitude distribution of the surface reflected wave is approximated by Rice distribution, and we can quantitatively evaluate the energetic ratio of coherent component and incoherent component in the reflected wave using Rice distribution.
