Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The possibility of non-destructive estimation for coating materials by wavelet analysis was investigated. Surface acoustic waves on a aluminum block with brass surface layer was generated by a pulse generator, and it was observed by PZT sensors. The group velocity dispersion was estimated from detected waves by time-frequency analysis applied wavelet transform, and it was good agreement with theoretical group velocity. Furthermore, the inverse problem for estimation of material properties from the group velocity dispersion was carried out. Although it was limited in few parameters in the actual state, the possibility of this method for non-destructive estimation was confirmed.
