Abstract(in English) | If we apply a general traveling wave type ultrasonic motor (USM) to present to a robot manipulator, torque insufficiency is supposed. Therefore, this paper proposes a torque improvement of USM. As preliminary experiment, we experimented the motor connected with two usual USM by a shaft and considered to the torque and a characteristics of a revolution. From this result, it is confirmed that the torque of the twin type USM and speed control can do as well as one motor. Then, we make pilot unit of the twin type USM which is composed of one rotor and two stators. We compared usual USM with twin type USM in the torque and the pressing load. From this result, it is confirmed that the torque of the twin type USM is larger than usual USM and pressing load is very important in the twin type USM. |
