Surface resistance measurement of HTS thin films in a magnetic field at low-temperature

Abstract(in English) The dependence of the surface resistance (R_s) in high-temperature superconductor (HTS) thin films, YBa_2Cu_3O_<7-δ> (YBCO), TlBa_2Ca_2Cu_3O_<10-δ> (Tl-1223), DyBa_2Cu_3O_<7-δ> (DyBCO), on the temperature and on a dc magnetic field were investigated. The R_s of the HTS thin films in the dc magnetic field were measured by using the dielectric resonator method and NbTi superconducting magnet system. The R_s of the YBCO and Tl- 1223 thin films were decreased as decreasing the temperature, however, the R_s of the DyBCO thin films were rather increased as decreasing the temperature below 10 K. We considered that the anomalous phenomena of the R_s-T characteristic in the DyBCO thin films below 10 K may be related the magnetic correlation of the Dy. Moreover, the R_s ratio, which was defined as R_s(5T)/R_s(0T), of the DyBCO thin films was lower than that of the YBCO and Tl-1223 thin films. These results indicate that the DyBCO thin film is better to use the NMR applications.
